On Wedndesday, February 15, Waldron Mercy Academy welcomed Odunde365 to its weekly Community Gathering to give a performance on African dance and drums for the students, faculty, staff and parents. The gymnasium was full of enegery watching the talented performers, even more so when the students and teachers were brought on stage with Odunde to take a stab at the drums and dance!
ODUNDE365 is an initiative whose ultimate goal is to provide cultural programming all year round. ODUNDE is a national leader in providing opportunities for diverse audiences to meet, engage, cultivate and learn about African American and African diverse heritage, communities, leadership and arts (from Odunde35 website).
