Opening Mass, we also introduced our Mercy Theme for the year: Celebrating Diversity - United in Mercy. Each month will have a different focus that our teachers will incorporate into their lessons:
September/October - National Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month
October/November - Native American / Indigenous Heritage Month
November/December - Catholic Heritage Month
January - Celebration of family cultural awareness
February - African American History Month
March - European Heritage History Month
April - Preview of Asian Pacific American Month
May - Mercy - Where is Mercy in the world? What does Mercy say about culture, our diversity?
Our eighth graders led the Mass and theme introduction. The service was live streamed to the rest of our students, following our Health & Safety procedures.
