Middle School Social Studies Teacher

 

WMA is seeking a full time Middle School Social Studies Teacher to start August 26, 2024. The  Social Studies Teacher prepares materials and class activities adapting teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. The teacher provides a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and work time working with students individually and in groups. Professional communication skills with parents and colleagues and participation in school events is also required. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, PA Teaching Certification, and three years teaching experience at an appropriate grade or age level. Long Term Substitutes, 3rd Grade & 6th Grade Language Arts


WMA is seeking two long term substitutes for Fall, 2024. One position is for 3rd Grade and will start on August 26, 2024 and is anticipated to end on October 18, 2024.  The second position is for 6th Grade Language Arts and will start on August 26, 2024 and is anticipated to end on November 29, 2024.  The 3rd grade substitute will teach all subjects to one class of 3rd grade. The 6th grade substitute will teach language arts to all 6th graders. A Pennsylvania teaching certification  (elementary education or secondary education) and current background clearances are required. MAC Director 
 

Waldron is seeking an energetic and responsible person to direct the Mercy Aftercare program. It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with children of all ages and engage in indoor and outdoor activities. The hours are from 3:00-6:00 and occasional Fridays from 8:00 to 4:00. Please contact Kristen Romano if you are interested in this position. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00- 6:00pm


- Will be required to work on WMA vacation days when MAC is offered; Inservice and Retreat days when MAC is offered from 8am-4pm (typically about 4 days per year)

3) All candidates are required to provide Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal History background clearances which are no more than one year old. When an interview is scheduled, candidates will be informed to obtain and show these items.
