Annual Outreach Events
Each September, in conjunction with Mercy Day, our students walk around the school to raise money for a particular organization that engages in the Works of Mercy. Previously, organizations that have received donations through the Mercy Walkathon have been to Project HOME, Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, Earthquake Relief for the Sisters of Mercy mission in Peru, and Central Asia Institute, etc.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets
Each year the Waldron Mercy Academy community donates Thanksgiving baskets to many of our outreach partners. This past Thanksgiving, WMA sent more than 70 Thanksgiving Baskets chock full of turkeys, all the trimmings and pies to families at the Catholic Worker Clinic, Project HOME, St. Katherine Day School, Our Lady of Hope, and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. Donations for this effort came in from WMA families, faculty and staff. In addition to the baskets, WMA sent 25 boxes of food to help replenish the shelves of the food pantry at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Germantown.
Christmas Giving Tree
Our Waldron Mercy Academy community has brightened the holidays of many men, women and children at our outreach sites. This past Christmas, the front lobby of WMA was filled to the brim with over 600 Christmas gifts for our outreach partners.

This annual event draws children and adults of all ages and brings the joy of community and community service to life!
New and Gently Used Collections
Each year our Waldron Mercy Academy community donates many items to our outreach partners. In the fall, students collect canned goods that are sent to St. Vincent de Paul Parish food pantry in Germantown. New and gently used coats, scarves, mittens, and hats are sent to some of our outreach sites in November. After Christmas our community cleans out its book shelves and sends the joy of reading to men, women, and children.
