The National Education Association celebrates Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day, on March 2, 2017. To honor the man who forever changed children’s books and inspired generations of readers, Waldron Mercy joins schools, libraries and other organizations across the United States in this annual celebration. Waldron Mercy Academy kindergarteners, pre-kindergarteners and their teachers spent the day reading and celebrating Dr. Seuss and his famous characters. Our classrooms were be full of reading, imagination, whimsy and even a few Whos!

"Waldron is a second home to me. Many of my fondest memories and lifelong friends were made at Merion and then Waldron Mercy Academy. Waldron gave me so much and I’m happy to give back so others may experience the Mercy tradition. That tradition of compassion, kindness and friendship inspire me every day."
