MRS. SAM STRICKLAN (PIERCE) IS HONORED WITH SISTER SUZANNE GALLAGHER AWARD

Science teacher, Mrs. Samdai Stricklan  (Pierce), was named the 2017 recipient of the Sister Suzanne Gallagher Award for Distiguished Teaching at the faculty year-end luncheon in June. This award was established by alumni Peter ’95 and Thomas ’98 Farnese (pictured at right with Nell Stetser and Peter's wife, Lily) to honor a current WMA faculty member for excellence in teaching. Following in the footsteps of their father, Andrew Farnese, Esq. '60, who established the Sister Mary Cephas Award for Distinguished Teaching decades earlier, Peter and Andrew initiated the Sister Suzanne Gallagher award seven years ago. We congratulate Mrs. Stricklan on this achievement!
