We are so proud to honor and recognize 4 Waldron Mercy Alumni (and one “friend” of WMA!) who were recently formally presented to the community at the 2026 Jack and Jill of America bi-annual Presentation Gala! We extend our deepest congratulations to Adrian McGill, Jr. ‘22, Henry Sylva ‘22, John Patrick Oates ‘22, Amira Wardlaw ‘22 and Ethan Buckner on this incredible accomplishment.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is the largest African American family organization in the nation with 271 chapters representing 70,000+ family members. This membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19 is dedicated to raising the next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.
The presentation gala is an event where juniors and seniors of each of the chapters are presented to the community. Over the programming cycle the teens participate in various workshops on branding, etiquette and team building and the program culminates in a black tie event which was held on April 12, 2026 at the Sheraton Valley Forge, with the theme of “Poised for Impact: Prepared. Polished. Powerful”
With a lasting legacy since 1938, Jack and Jill, Inc. has promoted the public awareness and interests of children including leadership development, child growth, child quality of life, child care and the promotion of children’s rights.
