[November, 2016] The Board of Trustee's search committee to select the school's next principal has been established. In assembling this committee, we sought current and past trustees who represent an understanding and appreciation of our Catholic, Mercy values; possess a diversity of professional expertise and talents, specifically in the areas of education, advancement, finance, and mission; and who represent current and past Waldron parents.

[January, 2017] The Principal Search Committee has completed the first round of interviews of the eleven cultivated applicants. The search committee, thoughtfully considering the views and dreams of the community as they were expressed in the visioning sessions, chose to interview five of these candidates by phone. The interviews were very informative and led the search committee to invite three applicants to participate in a second interview, and the committee is in the midst of conducting these in-person interviews.
Once the in-person interviews are completed and the search committee has identified the finalists for the position, it will be looking forward to the final round of interviews which will be held on Friday, February 24 and Monday, February 27, 2017. Joining the search committee will be selected representatives of Waldron Mercy’s constituent groups to participate in these final interviews.
The Principal Search Committee wishes to thank the community for its prayers and support during this most important time for Waldron Mercy Academy. We believe that our adherence to the stated values of the search committee, love for the institution, and trust in God will result in the appointment of a new principal who will maintain and enhance the stability and sustainability of the institution, ensuring that future generations of students will benefit from the school’s Catholic, Mercy mission and excellence in education.
