Matthew and Elizabeth Wawro, and Dalton, Grade Four
We moved to Philadelphia last summer from out-of -state. Not knowing the area or schools we spent our time becoming familiar with Montgomery County and what it had to offer our family. Education has always been important to us and it was our goal to find a school that was a perfect fit both academically and socially for our fourth grade son, Dalton. We received many recommendations from local residents, and Waldron Mercy was the one school that was mentioned by so many. We were told that the education was first rate and the school spirit and tradition was strong. When we visited Waldron Mercy, we were greeted by so many wonderful and dedicated teachers, staff and students. Dalton spent a day in the classroom, and it was at that point we were both convinced that we had found the perfect spot for him. Since Dalton has been enrolled at WMA, we have not been disappointed. He has enjoyed his teachers and comes home excited about what he is learning in the classroom. Dalton has made terrific friends while also having the opportunity to play football at Waldron, which has helped him feel more connected to the schools traditions. Our family has felt welcomed into the Waldron Mercy community, and we look forward to the many years to come.
