The Giacobbo Family

Educating three sons and wanting them to enjoy learning while reaching their highest potential was our first priority. We were always interested in Catholic education for our children since we both received elementary and secondary Catholic educations. In fact, we first visited Waldron Mercy when our eldest son was three. The feeling was overwhelming as we entered. We knew as soon as we walked in that this was where we would like our children to be educated. On that first visit, we watched very polite, confident students move through the halls with purpose while being introduced to Sister Joellen, admissions director, who was so warm and welcoming. For proximity reasons, we spent one year in a public school system. We realized, though, that smaller classes and dedicated teachers in a nurturing structured environment was the answer. We decided to commute to Waldron Mercy for a year and then we simply moved closer!

Waldron Mercy Academy exceeded all of our expectations. Our sons are challenged and encouraged, and they love learning. They are excelling in academics and our oldest son loves the athletic atmosphere. The outreach programs that my children partake in give them the opportunity to truly learn the meaning of mercy and community support. Next year our youngest son will join his older two brothers in the school we feel is the most family-oriented, academically superior, private school in the Greater Philadelphia area.
