In the summer of 2008, we decided that our Philadelphia public charter school experience was not the best we could provide for our children. We loved the diversity of the school system and were not thrilled with the idea of a private school. We were introduced to Waldron Mercy Academy through a friend. Having been educated in a parochial school, I knew that diversity is not common at a Catholic school. After meeting with Sister Joellen, touring the campus and viewing the CD that was offered to us, we were amazed at all that Waldron Mercy had to offer. The student body comes from all areas around and in the city and is diverse. The campus was exceptional, offering fields for sports as well as being well manicured. The tuition was also considerably lower than the other private schools in our vicinity. I was amazed that Waldron Mercy had so much to offer at a comparatively lower tuition. My children are thriving here now. My daughter fully understands why we switched her school. Waldron Mercy has opened many doors for my children and we plan on peeking into all of them!
