The Resnic Family

Michael and JoAnne Resnic, and Madi, Grade Five

Our daughter Madeline transferred into Waldron Mercy Academy mid-year in third grade. We realized that year that she needed a more challenging curriculum as well as more extracurricular options that our public school did not have available.

WMA worked incredibly hard with us to make this transfer happen. We chose Waldron Mercy for its strength in academics, wonderful balance of art, music and activities after school, not to mention a beautiful campus, and strong emphasis on individuality and individual accountability. It is an affordable alternative to the many private schools in Center City and also close enough that we can participate as a family in the happenings at school. What we found after we joined the Waldron Mercy community is the tremendous welcoming atmosphere in all areas of the school, along with the school’s open embracing of our interfaith family. Additionally, the fact the class sizes are much smaller than our previous environment allows the teachers to really know our child and truly care about her achieving her potential. We are excited for the day when Madi’s little brother joins her at WMA!
