All second and third graders participate in Glee Club. There is no fee charged for participation. Our youngest students have the chance to be a part of a choral ensemble. Students in grades four through eight are welcome to join the Choir at their grade levels.
Treblemakers is an honor choir that meets at 7:30 a.m. one or more times per week. Students in grades four through eight are eligible to become a part of this group. Invitations are extended in May for the following academic year. Any students presently in grades four to eight who are not members of Treblemakers and would like to be considered for membership, should write a letter telling of their interest, their reasons for becoming part of an honor choir, a promise to do the necessary homework, and a commitment to attend early morning practices. This letter should be submitted to Mr. Michael Borton, director of music services.
Chorale is an auditioned choir made up of boys and girls in grades seven and eight. This is a highly dedicated group requiring serious commitment to enhancing their choral experiences through focused rehearsals and challenging repertoire. In March 2005, the Chorale traveled to Orlando to participate in MusicFest Orlando, a prestigious nationwide festival. In addition, we've performed in Walt Disney World as part of their “Magic Music Days,” Williamsburg, Va., Washington, D.C. and New York City. Auditions for this group take place in May for the following academic year.
