Waldron Mercy Academy strives to be financially available to all families interested in providing a quality Mercy education for their children. Limited financial assistance is awarded on a yearly basis, and must be reapplied for each year. Aid is limited by the funds available.
We draw our financial assistance from various sources, including the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). We are grateful to those corporations and individuals who make this student aid possible through their generous contributions.
WMA Student Aid Fund
This fund is made available through donations from corporations and individuals, as well as through WMA fundraising activities. It is meant to help families who are experiencing financial hardship.
How Do I Apply for Student Aid?
Contact the WMA Business Office for an SSS (School and Student Services) application. All applicants must complete this application between November 1 and March 31 for the next school year and mail it directly to SSS, along with a copy of your latest federal tax return. For faster processing, you may apply online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. (SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools that determines a family’s ability to pay school costs.)
When will I be notified of the results of my SSS application?
SSS will send a “Report of Family Contribution” to you and to WMA within a few weeks. This report will then be reviewed by WMA’s Student Aid Committee, and you will be informed of your eligibility status by April 30.
How much assistance can I receive?
This depends on several factors including your eligibility status, the availability of student aid funds, and the number of families who have applied for assistance
If eligible, when will I receive the funds?
Credits will be applied to the following school year’s tuition bills in equal monthly installments from July through April.
